The Eden Project
The Humid Tropics Biome and The Warm Temperate Biome make up the centre piece of the Eden Project, but there are other gardens and walkways on site that should not be missed.
The biomes are really large greenhouses, (and large is somewhat of an understatement). The Hot Tropics Biome is over 200m long and up to 50m high and recreates, as its name suggests a tropical rainforest with over 10,000 species of plants and trees. The second biome is smaller, and although it sounds silly to say it, as it is not as hot. It may be sensible to visit here first, to acclimatise more gradually to the warmth.
The site is still very new, with many of the plants still needing many years to fully develop, but the Eden Project is really something unique and well worth a visit.
