Cycling the Camel Trail, Cornwall
The Camel Trail offers a gentle cycle route on the path of a disused railway track and running alongside the Camel Estuary. The route runs from Padstow on the coast to Wadebridge about 6 miles inland and then onto Bodmin.
There is a bike hire shop in Wadebridge that rent out a selection of bikes for all ages with a car park close by. This is a great starting point, right on the trail, that takes you straight into Padstow, where you can get refreshments before cycling back. Alternative hire shops are also at Padstow and Bodmin. The trail can get quite busy, particularly in the summer.
